Always seen with a smile on her face, Melissa Phillips is an active, independent senior at William Mason High School. Expressing her determination from the mere age of three, Melissa takes part in competitive dance where she has been awarded various trophies and high point excellence awards in her division at local and national dance competitions. Melissa brings the same hard work and determination to MHS where she has received awards in creative writing and American history. Melissa’s knack for the arts shines through her creative writing in Writer’s Block, MHS’s Literary Magazine, and spot in the MHS Philharmonic Orchestra, where as an ensemble, they have received excellence awards at the OMEA state contest. Melissa also exhibits her leadership qualities and love of helping others through her participation in German National Honor Society and National Honor Society.
